No. Feel free to share the SoundCloud link to your song preview on social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) or email the link to your friends and family to have a listen! However, the only licensed owner of the file is you. See Guest Downloads for friend and family ownership of your song.
2. How long will it take to receive my Melody?
The team at MelodyWed™ strives to get your Melody back in your hands within 6-8 weeks.
3. Do you provide rush ordering?
Yes, we provide an option for rush ordering. Please let us know what your timeline looks like and we will work with you to complete your Melody on time! Depending on the project and timeline, we will send an additional invoice to cover rush ordering cost.
4. How are your prices so low?
Normally, a song requires many musicians to fill out the track at expensive prices for studio time. Our trusted audio engineer, Kyle Novy, with My Song Alive, is an insanely talented multi-instrumentalist who can create a soundscape of pretty much any genre you desire in an incredibly efficient manner. He is an alumni of the Musician’s Institute in LA, is an award-winning producer, and a very kind gentleman to boot. His skills enable us to offer a professionally-produced love song at a lower price.
Additionally, through much practice and experience in the songwriting realm, MelodyWed™ has created a method for custom songwriting that is both streamlined and creative. Through our proprietary questionnaires, we have boiled down the “custom” part of custom songwriting so that the getting-to-know-you process is simple, sweet, and enables us to immediately get to work developing your Melody.
5. Why are your prices so high?
The custom songwriting process takes about 12-20 hours to complete depending on the Melody package chosen, plus production costs paid to My Song Alive. We are a boutique wedding service and value true connection with our clients, so we take the time necessary to make sure each couple’s experience is unique and special. Learn more about The Process.
6. Will you put our names into the song?
Goodness, no! A Melody from MelodyWed™ is meant to capture your essence as a couple, not your name tags. We develop a custom love song that reflects your relationship and meaningful parts of your history, but we avoid cheese and have high standards for our songwriting craft lyrically. Like an intricate piece of poetry, we aim to show, not tell.
7. What is vendor coordination?
Free vendor coordination is available with the Melody: Gold, and Melody: Platinum packages. MelodyWed™ will communicate directly with your DJ/MC, wedding planner, videographer or other necessary vendor to make sure your Melody is integrated into your wedding day seamlessly. You don’t even have to lift a finger! Vendor coordination is an add-on option for the Melody: Silver package.
8. What are guest downloads?
Free guest downloads are available with the Melody: Platinum package. Up to 200 wedding guests will receive a private link to download your song and to read the accompanying lyrics. Guest downloads are an add-on option for the Melody: Silver and Melody: Gold packages.
9. Why should I invest in a custom song when I could buy a song off of iTunes for .99 for our first dance?

10. Do you speak any other languages?
Yes. I speak Spanish and am learning to speak French. We can incorporate either language (and possibly others!) into your Melody if you should wish!
11. Which genres can the Melody be written in?
We can accommodate nearly any genre you and your fiance prefer. Do you love country, but your fiance loves mystical folk? We will do our best to write a song which crosses genres and makes you both happy. Disclaimer: we aren’t very strong in heavy metal performances, but if you’re super into it, we can try to rock it!
